Last Saturday we visited Stranger than Paradise party, that is also known as Gypsy Madness in Brixton in London. We listened to two bands, first was called Victor Menace performing Gypsy Swing and Nu-fangled Tango, second was The Penny Black Remedy the international cast, of Balkan Country Punk and Ska juggernauts. Between the concerts there was winter warming from the tantalizing Keda Breeze soaked in champagne and the dazzling Honey Lulu and sounds from the mixer lead by Dj Sacha Dieu who put on also one of the new songs from Bregovic, i.e. Gas, gas, gas!
It was big fun, not that gipsy as we expected, but fun. The two problems are obvious, beer is much too expensive in UK and it all finished at 2 am!!!
