This time no chimneys, but rivers. Two to be precise. First is the famous Karst river, romantically called as River with 7 names, Ljubljanica. Bordering with Plečnik wall that hides Main Market on the other side. Ljubljana castle is hiding in the green hill over topping the city.
On the northern border of our capital there is the biggest Slovenian river, known as Sava. On the picture you can see just a part of it, the kayak training track. In the back there is Ljubljana’s most famous hill, Šmarna gora. I don’t know anybody from LJ, that hasn’t ‘climbed’ the hill yet. You also might remember this place as it is very useful if you are one of the Jehovah’s witness trying to escape from the flood.
